Cowboys Stadium
I was at the new Cowboy’s Stadium in Arlington recently. Well, I say “new.” It’s been completed for a year or two, but since I’m not particularly a football fan, I hadn’t had the occasion to go there.
But an organization I belong to had an award’s ceremony there on June 3, 2010. The evening’s events included a tour of the stadium, so here was my chance!
The place is impressive, no doubt about it. Huge, but it sort of feels like your own living room — if you had a living room that would encompass a football field and who knows how many people.
BTW, I’m only including a few pictures here. Check out the slide show at the end of this post to see all the stadium pictures.
Our first stop was the TV screens, and the big one is impressive! The guide told us it cost more than the entire previous Cowboy’s Stadium in Irving. For perspective, that little screen at the right is over 3 stories tall. And both are “real” TVs, not projection TVs.
Next stop, the locker rooms. First the cheerleaders and then the players.
Then onto the field. I thought the surface was quite soft.
