NZ Rest and Travel Day (Wed, Feb 10)
This morning we bid farewell to Braemer Station and headed south. We made a couple of interim stops, but the main point was to get to the southwestern side of the island where we’ll be adventuring and moving northward for the next few days.
We did make a stop in Queenstown and had a couple of hours to look around. We’ll be back there in a few days (Saturday) for a totally free day. This was a kind of familiarization so we can choose what to do when we come back.
Tonight we’re in Manapouri, on the shores of yet another beautiful lake. Tomorrow we have two hikes planned. Today was a good day for us all to do a bit of recovering after our hiking exertions yesterday. We’re all moving a little slow right now! It’ll actually be good to be a bit more active tomorrow, but I’m secretly hoping the hikes are not too strenuous. 🙂
No pictures today, but tomorrow ought to be some great views!
